The 35th anniversary Paint-A-Thon season is under way.
Volunteer teams are forming! The event appeals to volunteers of all ages, professions and persuasions. Click on link for form. Participating volunteer teams represent nearly every community sector, including corporations, churches, neighborhood and civic associations and more. BE SURE TO ASK ABOUT participating in the huge Aug. 10 Paint-A-Thon day when many of the homes are painted.
Applications are still being accepted. Seniors are encouraged to apply for the service using the attached link. To qualify, homeowners must be at least 60 years old, demonstrate financial need and own a home in need of painting that is no taller than 1 ½ stories.
For more information on volunteering, sponsoring the event or applying to have a home painted, call Brothers Redevelopment at 303-202-6340.
Between March and September, Brothers Redevelopment worked alongside event sponsors and more than 2,100 caring volunteers to paint the homes of income-qualified senior and disabled homeowners in cities across the Front Range--ALL FREE OF CHARGE.
We hope to exceed or match the 107 homes that were caulked, sealed and painted in 2012.
These days, the average cost to paint a home can surpass $5,000—a huge expense for a senior/disabled homeowners living with financial and/or physical limitations. Given that the services is offered AT NO COST to the homeowner, they can devote their limited and fixed-incomes to cover other important costs, such as medication, groceries and utility bills.
