Senator to take calls during May 10 visit
Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet will visit the Colorado Foreclosure Hotline on Monday morning, May 10, to take phone calls from struggling homeowners and highlight the organization's leadership in helping Coloradans facing foreclosure to stay in their homes.
Bennet will meet with hotline counselors, as well as a Colorado small business owner who was recently able to stay in her home as a result of the hotline’s efforts. Following his meeting, Bennet will answer phone calls from homeowners to hear their stories first hand and listen to their thoughts and concerns about current efforts to help keep families in their homes.
The Colorado Foreclosure Hotline connects borrowers with non-profit housing counselors who can provide information on a borrower’s options when facing foreclosure. Counselors can also act as facilitators for communication between lenders and borrowers. Homeowners facing home foreclosure can reach the hotline for information and assistance by calling 1-877-601-HOPE.
