Agency to team with city, volunteers to repair homes throughout growing Front Range community

Brothers will bring its brand of housing help to Brighton once again in 2010.

The agency received word this week that it will receive $11,000 from the Brighton Legacy Foundation to partner with the city's senior center and stage the popular 'Help for Homes" initiative. Set to take place on select Saturdays in May and September, the event will gather volunteers to carry out all manner of renovation and home repair for low-to moderate income residents residing throughout the growing Front Range community.

Thanks to generosity of city leaders, all repairs are completed free of charge to residents.  Since the event's creation, more than 500 Brighton-based volunteers have made repairs for nearly 100 homeowners.

In addition to protecting the investment of low-income homeowners, Help for Homes has preserved housing values in nearly every city neighborhood.
